I'm procrastinating. I'm very much supposed to be working {it's a shame, i used to call it drawing}, but i can't seem to peel myself away from all this browsing i've been up to. Mary Ruffle has a very, very romantic, selective and charming collection of charming images. These three aren't exactly indicative of her moodboard tumblr, but i really liked the messages. Especially the first one, which i have been trying to practice more lately. Whilst an eye for detail is a blessing, it can quickly become nit-picking - an activity that does not have good associations. As for the one below - you know how i feel about cake = love. Butter biscuits are even better! And the last, well, what a good idea. Hope you agree.

Just wanted to say thank you to the lovely Anne-Christine of Le Divan Fumoir Bohemien for posting my dress on her delightful blog. I puffed out my chest with pride when I saw it, because Le Divan was one of the very first blogs that I truly fell for about four years ago. I had just started my studies in costume while I was living in Rome, and our school had such a tiny library that blogland was a dream come true! I trawled through all the archives and found so many wonderful images and stories to play with, and many have inspired my moodboards and ideas. In fact, several of the textiles posts made their way into the costume that has been posted, including the heart-breakingly beautiful works of Rosalind Wyatt. So not only a big thank you for posting my humble dress, but also for having unwittingly inspired me all these years. Un bisou!

And this months blog is.......... M.A. BELLE! Lovely Michelle of Rubie Green (based in America) is such an inspiration. Creating fresh, bright and bold fabrics and bed linen, it's no wonder Michelle has been featured in many an article including most recently a spread on a her beautiful home. I'm still trying to decide how I want to use the luscious East Village fabric in raspberry - my first instinct was to cover a whole armchair in it! But now i'm keen on using it in smaller doses such as the seat upholstery below or scatter cushions. It's just so joyful! Check out her blog which includes Michelle's inspirations and updates on new products and photo shoots.

There are many, many takes on Nordic white interiors, but I think the bathroom above shows how it can really be done well. Normally being one who likes a proper bit of bold colour and pattern, I do think a pale bathroom can be riddiculously peaceful. I love the bedroom below too, as it demonstrates beautifully how to incorporate a panel of wallpaper without dominating the room. The green really helps balance it out, and it makes expensive wallpaper a heck of a lot more affordable!

Yes I'm going all interiors on you again... but i needed another injection of inspiration as I tackled the guest room today and the discovery of the blog Sanctuary hit the spot - a scrapbook of interiors and creative inspirations with a strong Nordic theme. It's my Blog of the Month! Da ra ra da ra da ra! Pow! (That's my game show music kicking in).

That's pretty much a studio apartment...

It was so pretty, I couldn't leave it out! Doesn't it make you want to pull out a paintbrush?

I'd like to share my favorite blog of the month - Anna Spiro's delectable and immensely popular Absolutely Beautiful Things. She is the master of assembling beautiful things into vignettes that charm the pants off me. Spiro channels her talents into her job as an interior designer and proud co-owner of the shop Black + Spiro in Brisbane. Her posts are often concise, colourful and utterly inspiring to anyone looking to transform their surroundings.
